We follow the Little Wandle Letters and Sounds Revised programme for phonics, providing children with daily phonics lessons that build their confidence in reading and writing. Reading is at the heart of our curriculum, and we encourage children to develop a lifelong love of books through story time, guided reading and independent reading opportunities.

In English, we use the Talk for Writing approach, which helps children become confident storytellers and writers. Through learning and retelling high-quality texts, children develop their vocabulary, creativity and writing skills before applying these independently in their own work.

For Maths, we follow a Maths Mastery approach. This enables children to develop a deep understanding of mathematical concepts through practical activities, discussion and problem-solving. We encourage children to explain their reasoning and make connections between different areas of mathematics.

Children enjoy a rich and engaging curriculum that includes science, history, geography, art, design technology, computing, music, PE and RE. We provide hands-on learning experiences wherever possible, helping children to develop curiosity, resilience and a passion for learning about the world around them.
